Give to Caesar

THE HOLY SPIRIT spoke to me when I was in Rome, and I saw churchianity in a whole different light. I want to challenge your brain to think of all the things that you believe – do they belong to God, or do they belong to Caesar?

This is my opinion: Whatever is in the correct translation of the scriptures, belongs to God, and whatever is in the Roman Calendar, belongs to Caesar.

The above things were published on Aug.18.2020. Today is Oct.31.2024, and I feel I must add a few more things that have been on my heart this morning. We live near a park, and I enjoy going for a walk to the park, and swing on the swings, etc, and it is my time that I talk a lot to the Lord. We are in Canada at present, and I noticed kids were dressed as witches as they waited for the school bus. I guess this is a big day for them when they can dress up to celebrate. I guess it is Satan’s big day too. Every country has it’s own traditions, and when I was a kid it was Nov.5th. The school used to burn a dummy on a pole.

Every country I have been in, all have their own different traditions and special holidays, etc.,and all of them follow the Roman Calendar. Every church I have been a member of, also followed the Roman Calendar. All the dates I am mentioning are also all from the Roman Calendar. However, that is totally different to what is written in the Bible. Jesus was born and raised in the Roman Empire, but he never followed the traditions of the Romans. In those days it was Julius Caesar’s Calendar. That calendar had the same days and months as today’s calendar, but Jesus never mentioned any of those words. I grew up in a church that claimed to believe the Bible. I have been in churches of about 40 different denominations, and all of them seem to believe in the Bible.

I have mentioned similar things before in various articles that I have written, but I feel I must share what is on my heart this morning. In the picture above, Jesus is talking about Caesar and God. Jesus knew the difference between Caesar and God! However, most churches that I have been in cannot see what belongs to God and what belongs to Caesar. When I was a little boy, I was made to stay up till midnight on Dec.31 to pray in the new year. But that is not God’s new year – that is Caesar’s new year. Caesar was an idol worshipper, and brought January into his calendar to honour his “god of beginnings and endings.” That is totally different to what Jesus himself says in the Bible. Jesus himself says in the Bible that he is “the beginning and the end.” Revelation chapter 1, chapter 21 and chapter 22. In the Bible a day ends at sunset, not midnight.

Beloved, when I was a teenager, and read the Bible, I thought all the laws were for the Jews, and not for me. I have been in Israel and I have been in Rome. I am not a Roman, so why must I follow all the Roman rules and traditions? I believe in the God of the Bible, so if I have a choice to believe God or believe Caesar, I would rather believe God. According to God, the new year starts 14 days before Passover. Exodus chapter 12. Then in Exodus chapter 40, God told Moses that he must erect the tabernacle on the first day of the new year. When Moses did that, that is when the glory of God came down into the tabernacle. When Jesus was born, that is when the angels sang “Glory to God in the highest.” Jesus was the glory of God on this earth.

Everything that God does is for a reason and a purpose. Beloved I want to encourage you to follow God, not Caesar!
